San Diego Massage Parlors: ACORN undercover videos on Internet
September 30, 2009 at 10:24 am | In San Diego massage parlors | No CommentsClaims made in edited video: ACORN employee Tresa Kaelke said it would be acceptable to charge customers more for being violent toward the underage Salvadoran prostitutes Giles said she planned to bring to her operation.
Giles and O’Keefe asked Kaelke, if ACORN could help them secure a home loan so they could buy a house and start a brothel, but Kaelke said ACORN could not help.
Giles and O’Keefe, along with another man identified only as Jeff, spoke at length with Kaelke about running a brothel or prostitution ring.
Kaelke, who told the bloggers she used to work for a high-end escort service, did discuss brothel operations, but kept her comments mostly to ideas that the bloggers brought up first – such as calling the brothel a spa or massage parlor.
San Diego Adult Entertainment: The Powerfully Stunning, Shocking, yet Redemptive Human …
September 29, 2009 at 2:25 pm | In San Diego adult entertainment | No CommentsFor starters, we were shown short movie presentations about human trafficking. These were not theoretical exercises in the visual arts, this was the real deal. We witnessed law enforcement footage of Mexican women who were promised work in the United States only to be greeted with forced prostitution under the threat of death or torture, in the U.S.
There was another story of a Mexican man who came to the US to earn enough money pay for his son’s cancer medicine only to be forced into labor with people who paid him very little money with threats of violence. Thankfully he was rescued by a local human rights group along with many others and prosecutors put that slave trade group into prison.
…
We also saw how young girls in Cambodia were stolen and sold like cattle to buyers for use in prostitution. These are people who are used sexually at least 30 times a day. As you might imagine these girls are suicidal and terribly traumatized for years to come; both physically and mentally.

San Diego Adult Entertainment: For the first time, they walk to protest child trafficking
September 27, 2009 at 3:13 am | In San Diego adult entertainment | No CommentsBut the fact that a man is awaiting sentencing in Duval County court after being convicted of turning two Virginia teenagers into prostitutes shows the problem has spread to North Florida, says attorney Crystal Freed.
…
Lt. Mike Eason of the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office special investigations unit cites an ongoing case. He said Marvin Madkins was arrested in October 2008 after an alert motel security guard realized there was an unusual parade of men visiting one of the rooms. He discovered two girls, 16 and 15, who had been forced into prostitution by Madkins, Eason said.
…
When they arrived in Jacksonville, however, Madkins put the girls to work as prostitutes at several motels, posting their photos on Craigslist, according to trial evidence.
…
Eason said that case is typical of what happens in human trafficking. Teenagers, or foreigners who don’t speak English, are given false promises of a new life, then forced to work as prostitutes or slave laborers.

San Diego Adult Entertainment: MALKIN: ACORN’s illegal alien loan racket
September 25, 2009 at 9:37 pm | In San Diego adult entertainment | No CommentsMALKIN: ACORN’s illegal alien loan racket
By Michelle Malkin, syndicated columnist
There’s one thing more shocking than the illegal alien smuggling advice that an ACORN official in San Diego gave undercover journalists James O’Keefe and Hannah Giles. It’s the illegal alien home loan racket that ACORN has already been operating with the full knowledge of the U.S. government.
Recently, O’Keefe and Giles published the fifth in a series of BigGovernment.com sting videos. ACORN official Juan Carlos Vera coached the pimp-and-prostitute-posing pair on how best to pull off a border-busting smuggling operation. It would be “better from Tijuana,” he counseled on videotape. Vera then generously offered the investigative couple his Mexican “contacts” to bring 12 illegal alien girls into the country for prostitution.
GOP California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger now wants an investigation. But neither the Terminator nor any other California public official raised a peep when the very same San Diego ACORN office publicly announced a partnership with Citibank to secure home loans for illegal aliens.

Joseph Rocha first joined the Navy after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks in search of a way to help protect his country.
However, Rocha said what he found was a daily dose of hazing and abuse.
Rocha is now a student at the University of San Diego, but he said his first semester has not been easy.
“It’s difficult to concentrate in class,” said Rocha.
Rocha was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder and depression after several years as a dog handler at a base in Bahrain.
Rocha said his ordeal began when other sailors pressured him to sleep with prostitutes. He refused, and that prompted questions.

San Diego Adult Entertainment: Living it up in ‘Sin City’
September 24, 2009 at 1:13 am | In San Diego adult entertainment | No CommentsPlus, as one traveller put it, you don’t go to Vegas to sleep. In addition to the casinos, each hotel has a chapel and they are quick to offer you some wedding services should you be in need. Thousands of people get married in Vegas each year and a while back, there was even a reality show titled, “Happily Ever Faster” that was filmed at the Chapel of Flowers, located on the Strip, the main street in the city.
Speaking of the Strip, this is the top destination stop for most people, a kind of adult Disney World. Here, you find some of the most exotic hotels that have fascinating shows, incredible shopping boutiques and most importantly, at least for those in need of them, the girls of the night. Lined up along the strip all night are men and women on duty, handing out cards that have direct numbers to the call girls. Beer here is taken in pitchers along the streets and people are drunk as early as 8 a.m.

San Diego Strip Clubs: San Diego Restaurant Week extended through Friday
September 23, 2009 at 4:48 pm | In San Diego strip clubs | No CommentsLast week, San Diegans flocked to participating restaurants and filled the dining rooms to capacity. Local restaurateurs were pleasantly surprised by the overwhelming response, given the current economy. The general sentiment expressed by participating restaurant owners and chefs was that they expected to have a busy week but last week’s response was truly remarkable. As Executive Chef Jonathon Hale of Blue Point Coastal put it, “Due to the enthusiastic response last week, we felt it was important to extend our promotion an extra week to show our appreciation for our continued support during these difficult times.”
It did not appear that the current recession hampered the success of Restaurant Week. Many San Diegans look forward to this semi-annual event, plan for it and made their reservations early.
Of the 180 restaurants that participated last week, 85 have extended their special-priced menus through Friday. The entire Cohn Restaurant Group is continuing their participation. Island Prime will continue offering a $40.00 menu while Blue Point Coastal, Thee Bungalow, Kemo Sabe, The Prado, Indigo Grill and Gaslamp Strip Club will have $30.00 menus. Corvette Diner, in their new location at Liberty Station, is also offering a $20.00 menu.

San Diego Adult Entertainment: San Diego ratchets up the heat on ACORN
September 23, 2009 at 10:25 am | In San Diego adult entertainment | No CommentsNot waiting for President Obama’s signature on any legislation, the San Diego Board of Supervisors announced a joint investigation into Association of Community Organization of Reform Now (ACORN).
This investigation will center on voter registration fraud and why the state of California has failed to acknowledge San Diego’s Voter registrar request to look into 76 allegedly fraudulent voter cards.
Nearly a year ago, Deborah Seiler, San Diego’s Voter Registrar sent the California’s Secretary of State a request regarding possible voter fraud. That request has gone un-noticed by Secretary of State, Debra Bowen in Sacramento.
Since the release of video tapes by BigGovernment.com of ACORN employees in San Diego being complicit with illegal activity including smuggling 13-year-old girls into California to set up a brothel, County Supervisor Bill Horn demanded some answers. “We need to make sure they (ACORN) aren’t trying to skirt the law,” he said.
