In Oceanside, the Cohn Restaurant Group, a local, family owned company with 13 restaurants, has opened its newest one across the street from the Oceanside Pier.
The steak and seafood restaurant, titled 333 Pacific, has been a hot item since it opened. The Cohns have been on top of the new restaurant list for years as they always open unique eateries.
Their success began when they opened the Corvette Diner in Hillcrest years ago. (It has since been moved to Liberty Station in Point Loma.) The company has done nothing but open successful restaurants one after the other.
Gaslamp Strip Club, Indigo Grill, The Prado, Thee Bungalow and Blue Point Coastal Cuisine are just a few of its winning entries. Oceanside is bursting with hotels, resorts, restaurants, oceanfront condos and more.

Both he and Meyers said that they attended a summit last week held by District Attorney Steve Cooley, at which the message was that dispensaries are illegal and will be prosecuted.
Ultimately, he said, that means Long Beach can’t or shouldn’t try to regulate them.
“Over-the-counter sales are illegal,” Reeves said.
That didn’t put the committee any closer to a solution.
“So you’re not helping us any,” Councilwoman Tonia Reyes Uranga said.
“I’m helping you a great deal,” Reeves said. “I just told you that you can’t regulate illegal businesses.”
Throughout the meeting, the committee discussed ideas such as having the Health Department inspect the pot dispensaries, which distribute marijuana-filled food, and regulating the operations in a way similar to liquor stores or adult businesses by placing limits on where they can open.

We fight for health care, we fight for education, we fight against foreclosures.” However, despite his initial defense of Carlos, Langstein later fired him after reevaluating the videos with supervisors and other state ACORN officials.

San Diego Escorts: Stay safe on campus

September 19, 2009 at 10:12 pm | In San Diego escorts | No Comments

Make sure to keep the numbers of school police in your cell phone in case of an emergency.  Having the number for campus police on speed dial is the best way to go.  It may sound silly but if a situation occurs there will be no time to scroll through an address book looking for the number.  Especially if you can’t talk, just dialing the number can allow police to hear what is going on and possible use the cell phone as a tracking device to locate where you are.
It’s important to know the number to campus police and not just 911.  Campus police will be able to assist much faster and they normally work within a couple of miles of the campus.  So even being off campus but in the area, campus police can help.
Almost, if not all universities also offer escort services after dark for students who don’t want to walk by themselves.  It’s always a good idea to …

ACORN officials in San Diego County and San Bernardino have taken action against workers who answered questions about starting a prostitution business while being secretly videotaped by conservative activists. In National City near San Diego, an ACORN worker was fired for “unacceptable conduct” for answering questions by the activists, who posed as a prostitute and a pimp. Spokesman David Lagstein made the announcement just hours after saying no action would be taken against the organizer, Juan Carlos Vera.  Still,  Lagstein referred to the two activists who came to the National City office as “unscrupulous partisan videographers.”

Conservative activists James O’Keefe and Hannah Giles posed as a pimp and a prostitute, respectively, in a hidden-camera video released Tuesday that depicts a woman who O’Keefe says is an ACORN worker in San Bernardino saying she could show them “how not to get caught.” On the video, which is edited, she also discusses allegedly killing her ex-husband and says she “laid some groundwork” beforehand by going to domestic violence shelters and saying she was abused.

A San Diego ACORN employee who appeared to give human-smuggling advice to a pimp and prostitute in an undercover video made by conservative filmmakers has been fired, 10News’ Juliette Vara reported. ACORN’s David Lagstein issued the following statement regarding Vera: “After release of the second San Diego video by the unscrupulous partisan videographers, we have reevaluated our assessment of the incident that occurred last month. No paperwork was filed, but the video reflects unacceptable conduct that contradicts the earlier statements of ACORN Organizer Juan Carlos Vera. He has been terminated. San Diego ACORN and ACORN offices around the country are continuing to halt our service programs pending the results of the evaluation of the independent Advisory Council and we are continuing to fight on our campaigns: stopping foreclosures, affordable, accessible health care, and a  strong education for all children.”
