San Diego Escorts: PEOPLE v. TILLIS

February 22, 2010 at 1:26 am | In San Diego escorts | No Comments

At trial, the prosecution presented expert testimony about local prostitution from Lynda Oberlies, a San Diego police sergeant supervising prostitution investigations. Oberlies testified that El Cajon Boulevard in San Diego and Harbor Boulevard, in the Anaheim area, are well-known areas or “tracks” of prostitution where pimping and prostitution are known as “the game” and have their own language and rules. Prostitutes are told not to look at a Black male to avoid giving the impression they are available to another pimp, or to get into a Black male’s car lest he be a pimp. Pimps call their prostitutes “bitches,” and “lace them up,” or buy them clothes for prostituting. “Out of pocket” means that a prostitute disrespected a pimp or walked away from him, for which she could be struck or beaten. Pimps set hours and prices, take all of the money that their prostitutes make, and dole some money back to them for food or favors. Any prostitute who works without a pimp and tries to keep her money is called a “renegade.” Renegades do not last long on the Blade, as they will be robbed until they are forced to get a pimp for protection.

San Diego Escorts: Sex trafficking plagues San Diego’s LGBT youth

February 22, 2010 at 1:25 am | In San Diego escorts | No Comments

Many of the youth caught in these dangerous situations are runaways who find themselves unable to escape their pimps and captors. Others are girls and boys considered missing by authorities; these are children who had no intention of leaving home and have been kidnapped and trafficked against their will.
To further complicate identifying victims of sex trafficking, several prostitution rings have a circuit they travel, by which the victims are forcibly transported and made to service paying customers in San Diego, then Los Angeles, then Las Vegas and Phoenix. By continually moving they can evade authorities by dodging attention from locals who could report their suspicious activities.
Like the worst dangers of the last few decades, AIDS, nuclear war and terrorism, human trafficking is a hard topic to digest. Its scope is enormous and its reach overlaps these other issues. For instance, the victims of forced prostitution, and their paying customers and pimps, help spread AIDS. Modern slaves are controlled by force, fear and by keeping them drugged (www.ice.gov/pi/investigations/publicsafety/humantrafficking.htm).

SAN DIEGO, Calif. (CBS 8) – A sheriff’s detective accused of sexually assaulting a prostitute, while on duty, faced his accuser in court Friday.
Thomas Sadler is charged with forcing the woman into his unmarked car in El Cajon, then driving her to Mission Valley and groping her two years ago.
The woman testified Friday. She told jurors that Sadler touched her private parts in search for drugs, but she did not immediately report it.
“I was scared of the sheriff’s department. Because it was a sheriff’s deputy that had done this to me,” she explained. “Then the reality of the situation hit, and I hit on the floor on my knees in my living room and started bawling.”
“When you say reality of the situation what do you mean?” asked the prosecutor.

San Diego Strip Clubs: Lawyers Fret

Tijuana street views currently available are along main thoroughfares such as Via Rapida Poniente, Boulevard Aguas Calientes, parts of Zona Centro, Las Playas, Fundadores, and Gato Bronco. Google is taking the street-view images with cameras mounted on automobiles that cruise the city. Google has also taken photos of areas inaccessible to auto traffic for views of city parks, university campuses, and historical centers, where most of the traffic is pedestrian.
Local lawyers have criticized the street-view mapping of Tijuana as constituting a potential invasion of privacy and fret over images of citizens leaving strip clubs, visiting abortion clinics, or engaging in other possibly embarrassing behavior. Google has responded by claiming that all the images it uses are of public property and that it has made efforts to remove any images containing objectionable material.

San Diego Adult Entertainment: Hawaii may place bet on gambling to save its troubled tourist-driven economy

And illegal gambling is thriving today, with sports books, cock fighting and card houses the more popular forms. The Internet has also made gaming more accessible.
But the state’s natural attractions and its religious missionary history have instilled a sense among many that gambling shouldn’t intrude on one of the nation’s last holdouts against it. Utah is the only other state where gambling is illegal, though Nevada is just next door.
“People in Hawaii like gambling, but they realize it’s not a very good idea to legalize it,” said Dennis Arakaki, head of the Hawaii Family Forum and Hawaii Catholic Conference. “Gambling isn’t a good way to deal with your financial problems, either personally or as a state.”
Police say legal gambling would increase crimes such as prostitution and drug dealing.

San Diego Adult Entertainment: THEATER REVIEW: Lyric’s ‘Night Music’ highlights the show’s operatic qualities

As Fredrik, Scott Gregory has a nice, round tone to his voice and a playful relationship with Desiree, but he’s a bit on the bland side, particularly in his chaste relationship with his wife, Anne, played on the girlish and shrill side by Caroline Nelms.
A big standout is Raymond Ayers as Desiree’s fiery-tempered, empty-headed dragoon lover Count Carl-Magnus. He’s got a big, marvelous baritone voice and the right style of bantam cockiness to fit the role. Old Globe vet Kandis Chappell gives a subtle, droll performance as Desiree’s mother, the aged courtesan Mme. Armfeldt. And Shirley Giltner gets many of the show’s best lines, and makes the most of them, as Carl-Magnus’ criminally neglected wife, Countess Charlotte. Laura Bueno sings strong as Egermans’ flirtatious maid Petra, but she could amp up the character’s earthier, sexual qualities.

San Diego Adult Entertainment: Psycho Willie vs. the Pyrate Punx

February 17, 2010 at 8:13 pm | In San Diego adult entertainment | No Comments

Willie Psycho provided the Reader with his account of what led to the phone messages, which he admits leaving. “Sid from SDPP and myself have hated each other for years. The dude used to do security at the gutter shows I used to book. I fired him.… Ever since then, the dude has been spreading rumors, acting like a fucking baby, trying to be the king of the punk scene.”
As reported in the Reader in 2006, several shows presented by Psycho with Pyrate Punx resulted in destruction and police intervention at venues such as the Heartland Masonic Lodge (El Cajon) and Brengle Terrace Park (Vista). Psycho alleges that Sid, in an attempt to stop him from promoting competitive punk shows, was the first to issue threats.
“My wife, who has terminal cancer, has received over 20 threats from Sid,” according to Psycho. “He also posted our business number on craigslist in the hooker section, advertising my wife as a prostitute, [and he left] 73 messages on our business line.… You threaten my wife or my kid, you better be ready to lay your fucking life down.”

San Diego Strip Clubs: Sex Columnist: Naughty Gras

February 16, 2010 at 7:12 am | In San Diego strip clubs | No Comments

As we approached a particularly drunk group of men, wondering why such a congregation had formed, I looked up at the apartment’s windows only to see three pairs of boobs looking back down at me. One girl had her breasts out of her pulled down bra, her shirt bunched up near her neck. She simply sat with her boobs out as the guy sitting next to her on the windowsill jiggled them around and yelled to the audience to throw her beads. The second woman, a little more outgoing than the first, kept pulling up her shirt to expose her abnormally large breasts while yelling out a “woo” with each lift.
Finally, the third pair of sweater monkeys I had the “pleasure” of seeing belonged to a girl that seemed incredibly sure of herself. She had completely taken off her shirt and bra, apparently allowing for easier access and numerous showings to the awaiting crowd. Acting as a true stripper would, she would hold herself …
