ESCONDIDO: A man was arrested on suspicion of possessing a dangerous weapon at 3:12 a.m. Feb. 16 at North Ash Street and East Mission Avenue.
ESCONDIDO: Two men were arrested on suspicion of burglary at 5 p.m. Feb. 16 in the 800 block of Brotherton Road.
ESCONDIDO: A man was arrested on suspicion of possessing a dangerous weapon at 10:43 p.m. Feb. 16 in the 1500 block of South Escondido Boulevard.
ESCONDIDO: A felony hit-and-run was reported at 4:49 p.m. Feb. 17 in the 700 block of East Ohio Avenue. A juvenile was injured.
ESCONDIDO: Prostitution was reported at 6:22 p.m. Feb. 18 in the 500 block of Centre City Parkway.

National City Mayor Morrison pointed to job creation, a statewide economic catalyst he pegged at $40 billion a year, and voter approval to defend redevelopment.
“It has allowed National City to keep $14 million a year here in our community. And, as some would say, it ensures it doesn’t go to a rat hole in Sacramento,” Morrison said.
The debate lasted an hour and also included Chula Vista Assistant City Manager Gary Halbert. It was hosted by the South County Economic Development Council and moderated by Scott Lewis, the CEO of the voiceofsandiego.org.
The location of the event, Morrison pointed out, was formerly a gentleman’s club before redevelopment dollars were used to transform it.

All abortion services provided by Planned Parenthood are legal under federal law, despite an inflammatory Internet video slamming the organization for providing abortion counseling to minor prostitutes.

This is a fascinating article that really brings the show to life. Could be better with a few editing tune-ups. “than was ever known to have been paid for an Old Master painting” Why not just say a record sum. “The fanfare was played for all it was worth” sounds rather funny, unintentionally I am sure. The victims were a 41-year-old man who appeared to have suffered minor injury and two sheriff’s deputies.
SAN MARCOS: The theft of $450 in clothing was reported at 11:51 a.m. Feb. 9 at Fashion 5 on Las Posas Road.
SAN MARCOS: A juvenile was arrested at 1:48 p.m. Feb. 10 in the 600 block of Mission Road on suspicion of possessing marijuana on school grounds.
SAN MARCOS: A 21-year-old woman was arrested at 6:58 p.m. Feb. 12 on West San Marcos Boulevard on suspicion of prostitution.
SAN MARCOS: Two men, ages 18 and 20, a 20-year-old woman and a juvenile were arrested at 6:58 p.m. Feb. 12 in the 500 block of West San Marcos Boulevard on suspicion of several crimes, including conspiracy, prostitution, carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle and carrying a loaded firearm in public, among others.

We imagine that the school is kind of like the 80‘s TV show, Fame, and all the kids are training arduously for their big break. If the kids aren’t performing up to snuff, do the teachers corral them outside and say, “you’ll never make it to Broadway with that attitude, you may as well march right across the street and audition cause that’s where you’re heading missy”?
