NORFOLK, Va. (AP) – The former commander of a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier who produced raunchy videos aboard the USS Enterprise can remain in the Navy despite a finding that he committed misconduct, a Navy panel ruled Wednesday.
Capt. Owen P. Honors let out a sigh of relief after the board of inquiry read its decision, then embraced his wife after months of uncertainty about his career largely came to a close. The board was deciding whether to recommend to Navy Secretary Ray Mabus that Honors should be kicked out of the Navy after nearly three decades of service because of the videos. Among other things, the videos included simulated same-sex shower scenes, anti-gay slurs and references to prostitution in foreign ports.

DEL MAR
Del Mar, a city that in 1995 was raided by the county Sheriff’s Department for prostitution at six massage parlors, will likely pass an ordinance Monday that recognizes a state board as the proper licensee for massage therapists.
Massage technicians are licensed by a state board called California Massage Therapists Council, created in September 2009 through Senate Bill 731. The law allows masseuses to be licensed by the state and practice in any city.
Del Mar will still apply its business licensing, health and safety regulations and land-use policies to the parlors.
The Del Mar City Council on Monday is expected to adopt an ordinance incorporating the state board into its municipal code.
San Diego Escorts: "Operation Shadow Box" targets drug and gun traffic
August 19, 2011 at 6:00 am | In San Diego escorts | No CommentsSAN DIEGO (CNS) – An El Cajon social club was at the hub of drugs and weapons trafficking involving a Detroit crime syndicate and a Mexican drug cartel, authorities said Thursday.
About 60 people were arrested in connection with a multi-agency probe — dubbed Operation Shadowbox — which zeroed in on the business, located at 811 E. Main St., officials said.
The club — described as an “Iraqi social club” — had been the subject of numerous complaints of drug sales, gambling, prostitution and other criminal activity, according to El Cajon Police Chief Pat Sprecco. A Drug Enforcement Administration investigation corroborated reports of gambling and prostitution on the premises, authorities said.
During a search of the club Wednesday night, about $16,000 was seized, as was evidence of illegal gambling, Sprecco said. About 100 people were detained and released.

There are so many great things Chaldeans do for the community, so this just comes as a shock.”
Complaints have been made to El Cajon’s Police for years, including wives of men who reportedly gambled away the family’s assets at the club and neighbors who complained of apparent drug sales in the parking lot as well as suspected gambling and prostitution. Complaints also came from club members describing a “criminal element” involved in drug dealing at the location.
“Intelligence indicates that people managing the club are aware of the criminal activity and demand a portion of the money received,” said Sprecco. “Armed guards are allegedly provided during high stakes card games. DEA Iintelligence corroborated that gambling and prostitution occur on the premises.”
