December 10, 2011 at 4:01 pm | In San Diego escorts | No CommentsSAN DIEGO (CNS) – A San Diego police sergeant was on leave Saturday while detectives investigate allegations he fixed traffic tickets for county employees.
Police would not name the suspect.
A local news source reported that the traffic officer is suspected of making tickets issued to employees of the District Attorney’s Office go away. Aside from prosecutors, the District Attorney’s Office employs sworn investigators who work closely with police.
In November, ex-cop Anthony Arevalos was convicted of soliciting sex from women motorists he stopped over in the Gaslamp District. He faces more than 10 years in prison at his sentencing in February.

Jim Cooke quit a construction job in 1980 and hired on as a San Diego County sheriff’s deputy because he wanted a more challenging career.
The East County resident got what wanted for the next 31 years, until Friday, when he retired as undersheriff, the department’s second-in-command.
Along the way, Cooke became spokesman for a sheriff, John Duffy, known for speaking his own mind. He faced reporters during controversies involving budget overruns, jail inmate deaths and escapes and a secretive task force investigating prostitute murders.
San Diego Escorts: Center For Surf Research At San Diego State University Is First Of Its Kind
December 4, 2011 at 4:12 am | In San Diego escorts | No CommentsTo date, few people question the impact of surfers, Ponting said, and there are few sweeping plans about how to properly manage the surf tourism trade.
Ponting, a lifelong surfer from Australia, has traveled the globe catching waves and has seen how crowds of swell seekers have transformed remote parts of the world – in both good and bad ways.
With no planning, many poor, remote communities discovered by surf explorers in the 1960s got caught up in what Ponting calls “the race to the bottom” with locals expanding their homes and offering cheap accommodation, but with little infrastructure to handle the mounting sewage and trash, which seep into pristine marine environments.
As a result, “surf slums” sprang up in paradise. Ponting points to some traditional Muslim villages in Indonesia that found themselves dealing with big-city problems brought in by the outsiders, including illegal drug use and prostitution.
