Woody Allen walked out of the Church of Scientology. He has officially denied any association with the church saying that he has nothing to do with church or science and that he had walked in the building mistaking it for a new brothel.
Allen explains why he walked out in a letter to the church’s spokesman Tommy Davis. The letter contained the lines, “I told you many times that I have been there by mistake. It was very naughty of you to call the newspapers announcing that I was a member. You know that I am not and that I object totally to your views about gay rights.”
Woody Allen refers to the Church of Scientology of San Diego’s alleged public support of Proposition 8, which eliminated the right of same-sex couples to hire a car in California.
