San Diego Escorts: Brolin puts a Hex on Comic-Con

SAN DIEGO, Calif. – With studios raiding comics vaults for even the most obscure, seldom-read characters, the time seems ideal for Jonah Hex. Jonah who? After arguably reaching the apex of his popularity in the 1970s, he has since been consigned to a publishing purgatory: wandering from one cancelled title to the next.
Which, says Josh Brolin, was part of the appeal of starring as Hex in next summer’s supernatural duster.
“I loved that it wasn’t an extremely successful comic book,” Brolin told reporters after screening footage from the movie for 6,500 fans in Hall H. Joining him was Megan Fox, who portrays a prostitute and Hex’s love interest, and director Jimmy Hayward, whose last credit was the animated Horton Hears a Who. “I’m a huge western fan. That’s one of the things Josh and I connected on,” Hayward said. “I was a huge fan of the comic book.”
