I spent Tuesday afternoon meandering around the area and went into Nordstoms for the first time.   They have the nicest sales people and many were romance readers (always nice to hear).   I also met Bella there who just got the most amazing shoes.  The funny part was that her sister’s tennies had no laces.  Poor thing.
While I was checking out the construction of the Carpe Diem restaurant (from the SyFy show Eureka), I stumbled across Georges on Fifth.  This steak house building was formerly owned by Wyatt Earp in the 1880’s here he ran a saloon and gambling hall called “The Oyster Bar.”  Their brochure explains:  This was one of the better known and frequented saloons in the city.  One of the reasons for its popularity was that upstairs was a brothel called the Golden Poppy.   The uniquie feature was that each room was painted a different color and each lady wore a dress the same color as her room. They even offer tours there.
